The Swiss Cancer League, Krebsliga Shweiz, in their newest campaign, designed by the renowned marketing agency Euro RSCG Worldwide, on account of the upcoming warmer days warns of the universal dangers of excessive exposure to the sun’s rays. Under the slogan “Our Skin Never Forgets” they stress the fact that our skin indeed never forgets, which is illustrated by photos of a model completely covered with the well-known Post-it sticky notes, most often used for reminders to ourselves for things we mustn’t forget by any means. Pink sticky notes, which cover the entire body and every inch of the campaign protagonist’s skin remind us of the three most important words of advice for the prevention of excessive sunbathing; applying sunscreen half an hour before sun exposure; a high SPF value of the sunscreen we use along with avoiding the mid-day sun, when it is at its most intense, from 12:00 to 3:00 P.M. The ingeniously presented and most useful advice should encourage people toward cautiousness upon exposing themselves to the sun’s dangerous rays as well as raise awareness to the issue of not only excessive sun tanning, but consequences of the same, along with cancer prevention.
