Maja Bagić Barić and Danijel Srdarev’s poster for the European Short Story Festival 2010 is one of ten greatest posters in the world, which is a recognition that shows our designers are part of world design crème de la crème. The competition was started by the American How magazine which is considered a leading magazine for graphic design and design industry. The ten greatest posters in the world are chosen through the How Poster Design Award, and Bagić Barić and Srdarev found themselves among 800 designers from around the world and shoulder to shoulder with Mirko Ilić with his Nuclear Power Plants work.
This is the designers’ second award for the same festival – in 2007 they won the gold at the Graphis Poster Annual in New York.
In 2008, Maja Bagić Barić, Danijel Srdarev, and Lina Kovačević were among 27 world artists who participated in the Undiscovered Letter exhibition at America’s top gallery for visual arts, the Art Directors Club New York.

As Maja Bagić Barić, the KO:KE creative farm graphic studio designer, explains, “the European Short Story Festival 2010 theme is also the festival’s partner country, Catalonia. The inspiration for the main visual motif – the portrait of a giant doll wearing a hat in the colors of the Catalonian flag and a collar from the age on Inquisition – came from the traditional local Catalonian culture, the Gegants parade. Gegants are big dolls of medieval kings and queens present at all larger Catalonian festivities and holidays.”
