At the Salone del Mobile in Milan twelve Croatian designers and design groups are set to present themselves under the joint exhibition name “Croatian Designers’ Impact” at the Fabbrica del Vapore, within the big event Posti di Vista Design Sensibile. Through over 70 initiatives – exhibitions, workshops, performances, meetings, showings, concerts – numerous event participants will attempt to give their vision of a “sensitive and sensible” design.

The Croatian Designers’ Impact exhibition, which can be viewed April 12 – 17, presents authors who are changing Croatia’s listless state of design products on their own initiative. Eighteen selected projects – some mere prototypes, others already internationally acclaimed – dovetail perfectly with this year’s Posti di Vista theme.
The Croatian self-initiated designs are, under the circumstances and above all common-sensical, upfront and simple in their production process. At the same time, a lack of investors (and an industry that would dictate strict production rules), gave the authors the opportunity to experiment, making the most of the specific material and technology conditions.
Projects will be presented at the exhibition by the following participants: Atmosfera (Davor & Bernarda Silov), Roberta Bratović, Nina Bačun & Tomislav Mostečak, Svjetlana Despot, ForUse / Numen, Filip Gordon Frank, Grupa (Filip Despot, Tihana Gotovuša and Ivana Pavić), Ksenija Jurinec, Ljiljana Kolundžić, Redesign (Neven i Sanja Kovačić), Maja Mesić, Simon Morasi Piperčić along with Antonio Šunjerga.
The ceremonious exhibition opening is set to take place Tuesday April 12, while accompanying workshops: Guess the Design! and Try the Color! (for kids) are set to be held within the project.
You can find more information on the products and authors on the Croatian Designers’ Impact exhibition website.
The project is being realized within the organization of the Croatian Designers’ Society and the ReAktor, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Center for Design within Croatia’s Chamber of Commerce.
