The people from Kućica, an idyllic edifice near Zagreb which we’ve covered here, are a creative group of people that have come up with the idea of “Kućica- Caring Flea Market” – an online fair of a humanitarian nature.
The gals and guys invite you to buy or sell various trinkets – furniture, clothes, magazines, posters, and many other interesting items – and all the earnings made this way go to the humanitarian association of your choice.
Yes, that’s right! The money you donate, either by buying or by selling, is deposited to the account of whichever humanitarian association you support – it’s entirely up to you. All you have to do, if you are buying, is to check out the gallery on their Facebook page, choose the item you like, make a reservation of that item by sending an email to Boško at bosko.buvljak@gmail.com, deposit the money to the account of the humanitarian association of YOUR choice, and send the advice of payment to the organizers within the 24-hour period.
If you would like to take part in this commendable project by selling (donating) one of your own items; look around your apartment, go through your drawers and closets; find a chair, a shirt, a magic wand, or any other item you don’t use anymore or you’ve got bored of; take a picture of it using white background and then email it to Boško along with the desired price and your data. After the selection, the item is sent to the gallery. Then, when and if it gets bought, the organizers make sure that the payment has been made before giving your contact information to the buyer.
According to the info we’ve been receiving from the organizers, the items are selling very quickly, which means that every new item donation is more than welcome!
The organizers say they are in the process of founding an association, and should there be enough interest, they are also hoping to expend the entire project from Facebook to the Web in the near future. We have absolutely no doubt there is going to be more than enough interest and we, therefore, invite you to check your attics, look into your closets and boxes, and find items that will make their new owners smile, and at the same time, help associations that need money. The organizers point out that “Kućica Caring Flea Market” comes from the desire to help. Boško, a sort of spokesperson for the project, is just a mediator in making little good deeds come true, and he is not to be held accountable for any possible misuse. After all, he is just a flea.
