Your Daily Dose of Love
If you’re in love and love is one of the more important things in your life, you don’t need a so-called love holiday which was celebrated earlier this week, as you celebrate love in all its shapes and forms on a daily basis.
That’s Howard Hule’s take on love as well, a mysterious contemporary Cupid who publishes short and sweet quotes on “the most important thing in the world” on his website howardhule.com. This optimistic site is updated on a daily basis with one new message, while its goal is to make your day brighter. The premise of the daily dose of love is simple: a thought a day accompanied by an illustration and (we’d like to think) a smile on your face, all the while attempting to answer the question “What is love?”
The author behind the project is Croatian, but we will not reveal his true identity to keep in line with the project’s congenial mysteriousness. We’ll just say that he’s an artist who launched the project with two associates and they have plans to expand this concept to thematically identical things through other mediums such as video, audio etc.
Howard emphasizes how the project got started for personal reasons, and the people around him reacted positively to the catchy puns, so he decided to create a website. He adds that the puns and messages don’t presume to hold any concrete meaning, rather his wish is that people identify with the site and its content on a personal level.
