If today’s most famous Internet brands, the inevitable Facebook, Skype, Twitter, and Youtube, had existed fifty years ago, their ads would probably look like the posters below. Maximedia seminars marketing campaign, created by Moma from Sao Paulo, features a series of vintage posters that present today’s ubiquitous communication networks in a style suited to the 1960s. Colorful illustrations and humorous catchphrases are followed by explanations of the most prominent features and possibilities of these Internet giants, and Brazilian artists gave the entire campaign a vintage look. It’s refreshing to see an ad for Facebook or Skype that doesn’t feature the brands’ standard colors or omnipresent logos.
