Thanks to our living standards in this part of the world, we rarely, if ever, contemplate and realistically comprehend all the possibilities and advantages that nature bestows upon us. Hence not many Croatians perceive clean water as an exceptionally valuable aspect of everyday life. The cleanliness and quality of our water is one of the best in the world, and it’s definitely noteworthy that we are one of the few countries in the world whose cities, i.e. city streets, are washed with drinkable and clean water.
A huge number of the Earth’s population can only dream of having such privileges, as a billion people on our planet live without access to drinkable water. Scroll down to have a look at how important access to clean water actually is.

Some of the shown data seem intimidating, for instance, the fact that women in Africa spend twice as much time gathering and carrying water than they do cooking.
