The Best Weekend of the Year
The third Weekend Media Festival, the largest gathering of media and communications industry representatives in the whole region, took place in Rovinj from September 23rd to the 25th. Organized by the Pepermint Agency in the unique setting of the old tobacco factory Rovinj it was visited by over two thousand participants in the course of three days. The most important segments of the comprehensive program were undoubtedly the numerous lectures, workshops and panel discussions covering wide-ranging topics held simultaneously in two or even three halls during the Weekend. It would simply be too difficult to single out just one lecture or one speaker, considering everyone could have found a topic or an individual speaker that particularly impressed them in the thematically diverse program, and it was utterly impossible to visit and listen to all the attractive segments of the daily events at the festival. It’s up to you to decide whether all of the so-called “stars” of the festival Pierluigi Collina, Pete Radovich, Andrew Keen or Aleksandar Tijanić have lived up to or fallen short of your expectations.
As in the past years the Weekend hosted a large number of professionals from the media and communications industries, television and media companies, Internet portals, newspapers, radio stations, advertising agencies. We definitely have to compliment the absolutely fabulous ambience and relaxed “moving” that accompanied the festival events from dusk till dawn, rendering the festival in Rovinj the ideal destination for making new business contacts and establishing collaboration. In contrast to the more serious part of the program, important guests and lectures held at a demanding pace during the daytime, the evening parties of the Weekend were the most relaxed parts of the manifestation and we believe that many arrangements for future collaboration were made precisely then and there.
The Pogledaj.to website recognized great promotion potential in the Weekend Media Festival and participated in the media coverage of the festival. Kudos for a job well done to the festival organizers and the entire team “guilty” of making the third WMF happen in hopes that next year we’ll see each other in the same place on an even better and bigger WMF. All of you who missed out on this year’s fabulous festival in Rovinj have every reason to be sorry, and to prove this, click on the photo gallery to view but an inkling of the atmosphere.
